Time Flies

Two years ago I not only featured in OM Yoga magazine, I was also teaching eight classes plus private 1-2-1 sessions a week and they were all in person rather than online.

Oh how, time flies and things change….

Yes, I teach almost as many classes now and far more specialist 1-2-1 sessions, although these are all from home and all through a screen.

Yes, there are many wonderful and unexpected benefits of teaching online. I am connecting with more people from further afield. I can offer replays for when people couldn’t join me live. Plus, I’ve been able to introduce new classes without having to find a space to meet in.

And I certainly don’t miss all the travelling and rushing from place to place - I’m sure the environment isn’t missing this either.

This change of style and pace has also given me the time and space to focus on my own training and professional development, including completing a 500-RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) Training with Traditional Yoga live, six-days a week from Indian. Something I had long wanted to do but struggled to fit in.

That said, I do greatly miss the shared-space connection of my in person work in hospitals, hospices, corporations and studios. (I know this will return in some shape or form when the time’s right and things have changed.)

But above all, I'm so glad and grateful to be able to practice and share the gifts of yoga and meditation. I really cannot imagine how I would have managed without these powerful tools and techniques during these turbulent times.

I’m starting a new term of Dru Yoga classes - ‘live and online, with replays’ - next week. Plus, a new introduction to meditation course.

Why not join me to discover how to bring more health, harmony and happiness into your life?
